The TVS X, the second electric scooter from TVS Motor Company, has been launched. The sturdy TVS XLETON platform, known for its high-strength aluminum construction, is the foundation upon which this cutting-edge scooter is constructed. An multitude of cutting-edge digital and connected capabilities distinguish the TVS X as a high-end electric scooter. These comprise a user-friendly navigation system, an EV charger locator tool, real-time vehicle position sharing, and more.
The TVS X’s engine is ram air-cooled, providing efficient cooling under a variety of driving circumstances. The scooter uses a brand-new permanent magnet motor that accelerates from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kph. Stealth, Xtride, and Xonic are the three different driving modes available to users.
A 3.8 kWh battery powering this electric prowess has a rapid home charging capabilities that can recharge 0–50% of the battery in an hour when using a 3 kW fast charger. For increased safety, the scooter also adds a cutting-edge ABS technology and optional regenerative braking.
The TVS X is a smart scooter that comes with Play Tech, which gives users access to wellness, gaming, browsing, and live video features. This smart scooter can easily link to smartwatches, helmets, and smartphones. The scooter also has Smart Shield, a security mechanism intended to prevent unauthorized entry.
The initial retail cost of the TVS X is Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company now provides a 3 kW smart home charger option in addition to a portable 950W charger for Rs 16,275. Notably, the TVS X model is not eligible for FAME incentives.
Bookings are now available, the business has stated, and delivery will start in November 2023. In the coming fiscal year, the TVS X is expected to be exported to all TVS global markets.
